Waiheke - a unique island experience of beaches, vineyards, local food, wine, cafes and restaurants, native bush, arts and crafts, and much more. Cycle it slowly and take time to meet the locals.
Just on Auckland's doorstep, yet its fresh air and beautiful landscapes quickly help you forget the hustle and bustle of city life. Better still the traffic is slower making the island biking bliss.
And even better you can take your bike on Fullers ferries for FREE!
We've also developed a cycle map to make island cycling easier, featuring four trails; the ‘Beach/Wine-Lovers Trail’, ‘Easy Life Loop’, ‘Nature Trail’, ‘Stony Batter Trail’. They offer adventure, gourmet touring, family beach hopping and nature watching, as well as catering for varying skills and levels of fitness.
The Waiheke Bus Company has become the first public service bus operator in Auckland to trial bike racks on its buses, so you can see more of Waiheke Island. The racks are currently on three buses servicing the Rocky Bay and Onetangi runs, each capable of carrying three bikes.
Have you used the bike racks? We want to know what you think.
Download your map here, or pick one up at any Fullers Ticket Office.
