Waiheke Island Price Changes

Overview

Effective 15 October and 1 November 2018

Why are we changing our fares?
Fullers360 Experiences & Cruises is increasing our Waiheke Visitor and Commuter fares due to a significant rise in operating costs and to maintain a sustainable service. We’ve been able to keep fares stable since 2011 - despite investing $34 million in fleet and service improvements. We’ve considered all options to keep prices low and competitive.

New prices designed to protect local and family travel needs
Recognising cost of living increases across Auckland, and our role as one of the lifeline services to the Waiheke Island community, we will not increase Commuter or Off-Island fares for children, tertiary students or family passes. Commuter tickets and passes will be held at significant discounts, with the Monthly Pass fare equivalent to 52% off the Visitor return ticket.

New simplified ticketing system, FlexiPass
To offset the necessary increase to Monthly Pass fares, and based on customer feedback, we’re introducing a simplified ticketing system called FlexiPass. FlexiPass allows commuters and frequent travellers to purchase in 10-trip increments as they go.
