With its distinctive microclimate, volcanic soils, and coastal proximity, Waiheke Island provides the perfect conditions for cultivating olives. Discover a diverse range of carefully pressed olive varietals and styles available for tasting. An exceptional, sensory start to the day, and a taste of the island before the wine tasting begins.
Batch Winery
Second stop:
Two-course lunch and glass of wine
Perched at the highest point on Waiheke Island, Batch Winery offers sweeping views across the Hauraki Gulf and surrounding islands. Settle in for a seasonal two-course lunch and a glass of wine in Batch Winery’s contemporary dining space; a relaxed, unhurried centrepiece to the day. Take some time after lunch to unwind on the lawn and soak up the island vistas.
Casita Miro
Third stop:
Wine tasting
Set on a hillside above Onetangi, Casita Miro brings a slice of Spain and the Mediterranean to the island, from its Gaudí-inspired mosaic gardens to its terraced vineyard and estate-grown wines. A tasting here, with the sea stretching out below the vines toward the horizon, is one of the most memorable stops on the tour.
Mudbrick Vineyard
Fourth stop:
Wine Tasting
This family-run vineyard has established itself as one of Waiheke Island's most iconic destinations, with stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf stretching back to Auckland City it’s the perfect final chapter to the day. Enjoy a tasting at the rustic cellar door and learn about Mudbrick's varietals, grown right here on the island.
Take a moment to explore the beautiful surrounds before rejoining the coach to wind back to Matiatia.
