The Auckland waterfront is set to welcome visiting cruise ships this summer.
Cruises visiting Auckland play an important role in boosting our economy. Last season, cruise passengers spent $192.5 million in Auckland.
With an increasing number of large vessels moving in and out of our harbour, there will be an impact on ferry services from time to time.
Cruise ship arrivals and departures can halt traffic for the entire Ferry Basin because it’s unsafe to operate ferries due to a ship’s thrust.
We’re working closely with Auckland Transport and the Harbourmaster to let you know when to expect disruptions.
