We’re making an adjustment to our timetable as part of a wider effort to manage fuel use and fuel price volatility as a result of the continued conflict in the Middle East.

From Tuesday, 7 April 2026 the following weekday stop-offs at Devonport via our Waiheke Walk-Up ferry service will be cancelled until further notice:

  • AKL WAI V DEV: Departing Auckland at 13:00. Sailing runs direct to Waiheke without stop-off.
  • WAI AKL V DEV: Departing Waiheke at 12:00 and 14:00. Sailing runs direct to Downtown Ferry Terminal, Auckland without stop-off.

This change helps us manage the impact of the rising fuel costs will continuing to provide reliable services. Importantly, please note:

  • Peak school travel times (start times/end of day) for children will not be impacted by this adjustment.
  • You can still get to/from Waiheke Island at these times via our ferry service to and from Downtown Ferry Terminal, Auckland.
  • Our bookable ferry service (Waiheke Reserve), will also be available for you to book your travel to Waiheke Island from Auckland, Downtown Ferry Terminal in advance.

We understand this change may impact your travel plans and appreciate your patience as we respond to this evolving situation. We’re continuing to monitor conditions closely and may make further adjustments if needed to ensure we can maintain reliable and essential services for our customers.
