Head to Auckland’s Downtown Ferry Terminal and board your Fullers360 Walk-up ferry to Waiheke Island from piers 11 and 12.

Upon arrival, exit Waiheke Island’s Matiatia Ferry Terminal and catch the Western Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off Bus.

Stop at Cable Bay Vineyards, Wild Estate, and Batch Winery and enjoy a selection of wines and learn more about the vineyards they are made in.

When you are ready to return to Auckland, ride the Western Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off Bus back to Matiatia Ferry Terminal and catch a Fullers360 Walk-up ferry back to the city.

The vineyards
Cable Bay Vineyards produce premium, hand-crafted wines from grapes grown on its Waiheke Island and Marlborough vineyards– two of the most well-known growing regions in New Zealand.
Its Waiheke Island winery is situated on the stunning west coast of the island, boasting stunning views overlooking Auckland. There, you’ll be able to taste wines at Cable Bay Vineyards’ cellar door, share platters and plates at its eatery The Bistro, or enjoy relaxed dining in The Verandah.

Wild Estate is your ultimate island destination for fine wine and good honest food. Nestled in the heart of Waiheke Island’s world famous Onetangi Valley, Wild Estate is a cool and relaxed venue, with family-friendly activities for all ages.
The Wild Estate restaurant champions uncomplicated Kiwi classics using fresh and local ingredients that blend well with a stunning selection of wines to create an unforgettable experience. Batch Winery is Waiheke’s highest vineyard, with spectacular views over the Hauraki Gulf islands. Surrounded by picturesque vines, the winery is a popular venue space and offers relaxed dining options and tastings.

Terms and conditions
Vineyard opening and closing times may change on public holidays or for private event bookings.
The Western Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off buses depart Matiatia Ferry Terminal every 30 or 60 minutes, depending on day and time of year.
Should there be any changes to the timetable, customers will be notified by their tour bus driver on their day of travel.
