The Waiheke Island Walk-up service will transition to our off-peak timetable from 12:01am on Monday, 28 April 2025. This timetable replicates and is the same as last year’s 2024 off-peak timetable. We will continue to offer regular ferry services to and from Waiheke Island, ensuring that our frequent travellers and visitors can get to where you need to be.
Weekday services remain largely unchanged, with the continuation of half-hourly morning sailings from Auckland to Waiheke (6am - 9am), and Waiheke to Auckland (7am - 9am). As part of our switch to off-peak, weekend services will run hourly until 6pm from Auckland to Waiheke, and hourly until 8pm from Waiheke to Auckland. These services continue to run every 75-90 minutes thereafter, concluding at 12:30am on Saturdays and at 11pm on Sundays.
We understand that demand may be higher at times, and we will add extra capacity if possible, when required. As always, to help make your trip smooth and enjoyable, we recommend arriving early and planning ahead.
Off-peak ticket office hours
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with our new off-peak ticket office hours and plan ahead if you need to purchase or renew tickets and/or passes. The self-service kiosks and our website and our MyFerry App will continue to be available to purchase ferry tickets (note this excludes 40-trip tickets). Please note that purchasing 40-trip tickets and updating your monthly passes will still need to be processed at our ticket offices.
Matiatia, Waiheke Island Ferry Terminal – new off-peak/winter opening hours.
The Matiatia ticket office will be open Friday – Sunday during the off-peak/winter season, from 7am to 6:30pm. For ticket office access Monday to Thursday, please use the Eastern Kiosk at the Downtown Ferry Terminal in Auckland. The Residents’ Lane will be supervised during peak times Friday – Sunday, and is still available to residents for use during off-peak times.

Our Eastern Kiosk Ticket Office will be open from 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Sunday and will be our primary ticket office for you to purchase Fullers360 tickets for our regular traveller and visitor products and experiences, and to answer any questions you may have.

The Downtown Residents’ Lane will be supervised by our Fullers360 team at peak times, from Monday to Friday between 3pm until 6pm, and on weekends from 8:30am until 1pm.
