Reduced Capacity Travel Tips

At alert level two our passenger capacity will increase to 50%, while we can accept more passengers, the numbers we can carry is half our usual capacity.

With significantly reduced capacity, we wanted to highlight off-peak times in our schedules where we may be less busy. Where possible, we encourage our customers who can, to be flexible with your travel times and consider travelling off-peak.

This not only supports physical distancing as more people return to work, but also helps reduce peak congestion and assists with getting our customers where they need to be, quickly and safely.

Here are some helpful tips and our travel advice for alert level two:

  • Where possible, be flexible with your travel times
  • Avoid peak travel periods
  • If you can’t be flexible with your travel time – arrive at least 15 minutes before your service departs
  • If you’re unwell, stay home
  • Utilise the hand sanitisers at the wharves before boarding our ferries
  • Keep 1 meter apart from your fellow passengers and our crew throughout your journey
  • Where possible, please use contactless payments
  • Keep a record of your movements and services you’ve travelled on
  • If you’re a pass holder, ensure your contact details are correct, you can update these in the MyFerry app.
