Over the next 10 years, Auckland Council has a vision to transform the waterfront into an attractive, people friendly environment. Auckland Transport will be delivering the first part of this vision in 2021.
The Downtown programme will create a generous and welcoming destination along the water’s edge that is recognisably Tāmaki Makaurau. It will become a space that strengthens people’s connection with the Waitematā Harbour – a vibrant, transformed environment for all to enjoy.
Yes! We recommend booking all travel and tours online so you can go straight to boarding with your e-ticket. Either print or download the e-ticket BEFORE you leave home and show/scan the e-ticket when boarding the ferry. Both a printed e-ticket or downloaded e-ticket to your mobile device will be accepted.
While the redevelopment is taking place there is significant construction occurring in and around walkways and roading that can affect both public and private transport, pedestrian access and customers boarding ferries.
The process of widening footpaths in the ferry basin may, from time to time, impede access to the ferry terminal and its adjacent piers. There may be pressure on waterside infrastructure, including Fullers360 Ferry ticket offices and embarkation piers. During this time, we recommend our customers allow more time to navigate the terminal and board their ferry.
Please allow AT LEAST 45 minutes before your ferry departure to navigate the terminal and board your ferry.
Note: The time provided is estimated and does not include car parking and walk time to the terminal.

Auckland Transport is making changes to some ferry services starting Monday, 6 January 2020 as a part of the Downtown transformation project.
From Monday 6 January 2020 Pine Harbour services from Pier 3 will move to Pier 1C. Please note, there are no changes to Fullers360 ferry timetables.
As a result, there will be new queueing arrangements at Pier 1C – please follow the signage to navigate these changes or ask a Fullers staff member for directions.
With the works progressing on the Downtown project and public space, Auckland Transport is making changes to some ferry services, starting Monday, 2 December.
